How to add/edit/delete category?
Add new category
NOTE: In this section the manual adding of categories to the stand-alone application is described. In the case of application integration with ERP, this process will be automatic.
Categories on the front-end of application are represented as a multiple-level tree.
Admin User has an option to add new category by choosing menu Catalogue/Categories, right clicking on the parent category and selecting Add new child.
Admin has to fill the following fields:
- Parent - Name of the parent category.
- Title - Name of the new category.
- Permalink - Slug of the new category.
- Meta title - Title for SEO.
- Meta description - Description for SEO.
- Meta key words - Tags for SEO.
- Category icon - Choosing icon.
- Display category - Button for visibility.
- Hide category from menu - Button hide/unhide.
- Category permision - Add permision to category (can see price/quantity, can add to cart).
- Description - Format description for category in text editor.
- Regex - Filtering category for the entered parameter.
- Upload image - Area to upload image.
Required field is only Title.
Category can have an external link. For adding it, fill the following:
- Title - Title of an external link.
- Link - Enter link of external link.
- Image - Upload image.

Edit category
By clicking on the right click and choosing Edit selected node, edit category page opens. Admin User can edit all fields. If you want to change category's position in the tree, use your mouse to drag and drop.
On this page, Admin User can also add translations for category name, description, permalink and meta fields.
Delete category
By clicking on the right click and choosing Delete selected node, Admin User can delete selected category.
Reorder products
Admin User can add custom order of products in selected category by choosing Reorder products from dropdown menu and using mouse for drag and drop products.
Permissions for category
By choosing Update product permissions for this node, Admin User can update permissions for all products in selected category.
Category filter settings
By clicking on Category filter settings, Admin User change order and visibility of attributes in filter. Filter is displayed on Category page on front-end of application.
Import/Export categories
Admin User has an option to import categories by choosing menu Catalogue/Categories/Import. After uploading appropriate CSV file, and by clicking on button Import, new categories are imported.
Also, Admin User has an option to export categories by clicking menu Catalogue/Categories/Export. With that action, Admin User gets a CSV file with exported categories.
