How to add/edit/delete product?

Add new product

NOTE: In this section the manual adding of products to the stand-alone application is described. In case of integration application with ERP, this process will be automatic.

Admin User has an option to add new product by choosing menu Catalogue/Products and by clicking icon for Add new products in the upper right corner. New product should have multiple characteristics, which are, in the process of its adding, divided in several sections: Basic info, Price, Measure, Categorization, Attributes and Images.

Options and characteristics admin user can assign to products are:

Add Basic info

• Bacis info tab:

  • Product name - Name of product.
  • SKU - Code of product.
  • On action - Button for putting product on action.
  • Permalink - Slug for product.
  • Short description - Short description of product.
  • Product description - Format description for product.
  • Product permissions - Add permissions to product (can see price/quantity, can add to cart).
  • Show product - Button for availability of product.

Add Price

• Price tab:

  • Product price - Price in default currency.
  • Quantity in stock - Number of products in stock.
  • Minimum quantity - Minimal quantity of product to add to cart.
  • Quantity step - Number of products for buying.
  • Custom tax value - Additional tax values, not included in price.
  • VAT - Tax included in price.
  • Arrival date - Arrival date for products which are not in stock.

Add Measure

• Measure tab:

  Product dimensions:

  • Width
  • Height
  • Depth

  Single product measurements:

  • Weight - The weight of a product with its container or package.
  • Net weight - The weight of a product without its container or package.
  • Weight measure - Choose weight from the dropdown.
  • Unit of measure - Choose unit of measure from the dropdown.

  Package measurements:

  • Quantity per package - Number of products per package.
  • Measure per package - Choose unit of measure for package.
  • Package - Choose the package from the dropdown.

NOTE: Units of measure can be added choosing the menu Preferences/Units of measure. Packages can be added choosing the menu Preferences/Packages.

Add Categorization

• Categorization tab:

  • Categories - Choose one or more category created on page Catalogue/Categories.
  • Product Tags - Tags of product for easier searching.
  • Keywords - Keywords for SEO. Can be displayed on the front-end.
  • Additional keywords - Keywords only for SEO.
  • Brand - Choose brand of product created on page Catalogue/Brand.

NOTE: It is assumed that categories, attributes, attribute sets and brands are already created.

Add Attributes

• Attributes tab:

  • Attribute sets - Admin User can choose to add new product without any attributes but if Admin User chooses to add attributes to product through the attribute set, which he had selected in the select box (created on the page Catalogue/Attribute set), then the attribute set form opens and Admin needs to fill in the fields for each attribute in the set. Each value in these fields represents a number that increases the price of the product if customer chooses a product with the specific defined characteristic. When user selects attribute set, he has the following options:
  • Cost - Price for entered combination of attributes.
  • SKU - Code for entered combination of attributes.
  • ERP Code - ERP code for entered combination of attributes.
  • Minimum quantity - Minimal number of product to add to cart.
  • Total quantity - Number of products on stock.
  • Quantity steps - Number of products for buying.
  • Tax value - Custom tax value.
  • Price on action - Price on action for entered combination of attributes.

NOTE: One combination of attributes must be checked as default.

Adding and removing special features

Otherwise, if Admin User wants to add attributes individually, he can do that by entering the feature name and value. Also, he can delete entered feature in later processes with the specific product.

Add Images

• Images tab:
  • Main product image - Upload main image for product.
  • Options for add more images - Upload another images for product.

Required field is only Product name and uploading the main product image.

Succesfully added product will be displayed on the front-end of application.

All products

By choosing menu Catalogue/Products, the list of all products is shown. Admin User has an option for advanced search by columns: SKU, ERP code, Product name, Status, In stock. Admin User has an option for sorting by columns: SKU, ERP code, Product name, Status, In stock. Also, Admin User can choose how many products he/she wants to view per page (10, 20, or 30 products).

Delete product

Admin User can delete products. It can be done one by one, but also by selecting multiple products and clicking on button for delete in the bottom of the page.

Edit product

By clicking on button for editing in the list of all products, Edit Product page opens. Admin User can change the entered values.

Edit Basic info

Additional options on this page are buttons for putting:

• Product on sale
• Product on total size
• Product as damaged
• Product as outlet

Edit Price

On this page, Admin User can change or enter the values in all fields.

Edit Measure

On this page, Admin User can change or enter the values in all fields.

Edit Categorizaion

On this page, Admin User can change the categorization and brand of product. Also, Admin can change or add the values in fields.

Additional option is to set custom flags for product in field Custom labels, which allows separating products by entered labels.

Edit Attributes

On this page, Admin User can change values of existing combinations of attributes, choose another default combination, add new combination for the product, delete existing combinations or add/edit/delete featured attributes.

Edit Images

On this page, Admin User can add new images for product or delete existing.

Edit Documents

On this page, Admin User can upload documentation for product. Documentation can be PDF or TXT file.

Edit Bundle product

Offering several products as one product by choosing products in field Available products. Clicking on the button Generate price, the price will be generated automatically.

Edit Aditional lists

On this page, Admin User can see the lists of customers who added this product in their Wishlist, Watchlist or Availability list.

Edit Entity relationship

On this page, Admin User can add new entity on product by clicking on the button Add. Entity can be a file, video, image, block element and it can be displayed on Product page on the front-end of application.

Edit Translations

On this page, Admin User can add the translation for name of product, description, short description and permalink for all available languages in application.

Edit Comments and rating

On this page, Admin User can see the number of users voted and average product rating and can set his own rating to product by clicking on the button Set admin rating default and entering the value in field Set admin rating. Also, on this page is a list of all comments on products which can be filtered by time period.

Edit Seo

Admin User can add more tags and keyword for SEO on this page, depending on languages.

Import/Export products

Admin User has an option to import products and images for them by choosing menu Catalogue/Products/Import. After uploading appropriate CSV file, and by clicking on button Import, new products are imported. To import images for imported products, upload a .ZIP file with images and click on the button Import images for products.

Also, Admin User has an option to export products by clicking menu Catalogue/Products/Export. With that action, Admin User gets a CSV file with exported products.

Pricelist

Admin User has an option to create different pricelists for customers. By choosing Catalogue/Products and clicking on the icon Pricelist in the top of right corner, modal for pricelist opens.

NOTE: Pricelists can be synhronized with ERP system. IMPORTANT: One pricelist must be set as default.

To create new pricelist Admin User has to enter name of pricelist, choose pricelist currency and click Add button. By entering the values for Discount quantity and Discount value, customers with this pricelist will get the quantity discount.

In the table of all products, two new columns will be shown. One column is for main price, other is for price on action. The created pricelist takes prices from the default pricelist.

To put the product on action or to edit current price, click on the price field. Field is editable and Admin User can enter the new price.

NOTE: Admin User can add pricelist to specific user. More about this in section Users.
